DONATION & REFUND POLICY
Effective Date: October 7, 2026
Last Updated: October 7, 2026
Mount Zion Ministries (“MZM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) appreciates the generosity of individuals, families, organizations, and community partners who support our mission.
This Donation & Refund Policy explains the terms applicable to donations, recurring contributions, membership-related payments, program contributions, and other financial support provided to Mount Zion Ministries through www.mzmorg.com or other authorized MZM payment methods.
1. VOLUNTARY DONATIONS
Donations to Mount Zion Ministries are voluntary contributions made to support the religious, charitable, educational, mentorship, community-service, and other activities of the ministry.
Unless a particular campaign or fund states otherwise, donations are considered unrestricted and may be used by MZM where reasonably needed to advance its mission, programs, operations, and organizational responsibilities.
Making a donation does not create an ownership interest, voting interest, or financial interest in Mount Zion Ministries.
2. DESIGNATED DONATIONS
MZM may occasionally provide donors with an opportunity to support a particular program, initiative, campaign, project, or ministry activity.
MZM will make reasonable efforts to honor accepted donor designations.
However, if a designated program or project becomes completed, discontinued, overfunded, impractical, or otherwise unable to use the funds effectively, MZM reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to redirect those funds to a substantially similar ministry purpose or another area of greatest organizational need.
3. ONE-TIME DONATIONS
A donor may make a one-time contribution in an amount permitted by the applicable donation platform.
The payment method selected by the donor will be charged for the amount authorized during the donation process.
Donors should review the amount and payment information carefully before submitting a transaction.
4. RECURRING DONATIONS
Donors may be given the option to establish recurring contributions.
By selecting a recurring donation, the donor authorizes MZM's payment processor to charge the selected payment method automatically at the frequency and amount disclosed during the donation process.
Recurring donations will continue until canceled.
A donor may request cancellation of future recurring contributions through any account-management options provided by the payment processor or by contacting MZM.
Cancellation applies to future transactions and does not ordinarily refund contributions that have already been processed.
5. MEMBERSHIP AND PROGRAM PAYMENTS
MZM may offer memberships, mentorship programs, educational programs, events, sponsorship initiatives, or other activities that involve dues, fees, or contributions.
Payments associated with membership, programs, events, merchandise, or services are not automatically treated as charitable donations.
When a payment includes both a charitable contribution and something of value provided to the participant, MZM may identify the appropriate portion of the payment in accordance with applicable law.
Specific programs or events may have additional payment, cancellation, or refund conditions disclosed during registration.
6. REFUND POLICY FOR DONATIONS
Charitable donations are generally considered final once processed.
However, MZM recognizes that errors may occur.
A donor may request a refund when:
A donation was made accidentally;
An incorrect donation amount was entered;
A duplicate transaction occurred;
An unauthorized transaction occurred; or
Another documented payment-processing error occurred.
Refund requests should normally be submitted within 30 days of the transaction.
Requests submitted after 30 days may be considered individually but are not guaranteed.
7. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
To request a refund, contact Mount Zion Ministries at:
Email: clergy@mzmorg.com
Telephone: 727-662-1220
Please provide sufficient information for MZM to identify the transaction, such as:
Donor's name;
Email address associated with the transaction;
Date of the transaction;
Donation or payment amount; and
Reason for requesting the refund.
For security purposes, do not email complete credit-card numbers, bank-account numbers, passwords, or other sensitive financial credentials to MZM.
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.
Processing times may depend upon the applicable bank, card issuer, or payment processor.
8. MEMBERSHIP, EVENT AND PROGRAM REFUNDS
Membership contributions, program fees, event registrations, merchandise purchases, sponsorships, or similar payments may be subject to different cancellation and refund rules.
When different terms apply, those terms should be disclosed at the time of registration or purchase.
Unless separate terms are provided, refund requests will be evaluated based upon the nature of the payment, expenses already incurred by MZM, and the circumstances of the request.
9. PAYMENT PROCESSING
MZM may use third-party payment processors to securely process donations and other transactions.
Payment information submitted through those systems may be transmitted directly to the payment processor.
MZM may therefore not receive or store complete credit-card or banking credentials.
Transactions may also be subject to the applicable payment processor's terms, privacy practices, security procedures, and processing requirements.
10. DONATION RECEIPTS
When appropriate, MZM may provide an electronic or written acknowledgment of contributions.
Donors are responsible for maintaining their donation records and determining the tax treatment applicable to their individual circumstances.
A payment confirmation or acknowledgment should not be interpreted as independent tax, accounting, or legal advice.
11. TAX-DEDUCTIBILITY OF CONTRIBUTIONS
The tax treatment of a contribution depends upon applicable federal and state law, the nature of the contribution, and Mount Zion Ministries' tax status at the time the contribution is made.
MZM will not represent a contribution as tax deductible unless it is legally permitted to do so.
Donors should consult a qualified tax professional regarding the deductibility of contributions and their individual tax circumstances.
12. REFUSED OR RETURNED CONTRIBUTIONS
MZM reserves the right to refuse, return, or decline a donation when reasonably necessary, including when:
Acceptance could violate applicable law;
The contribution appears fraudulent or unauthorized;
A donor restriction cannot reasonably be administered;
Acceptance could create an improper obligation or conflict of interest;
The contribution could materially interfere with MZM's mission or governance; or
Acceptance would otherwise be inappropriate for the ministry.
13. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
If you believe a transaction was made incorrectly or without authorization, we encourage you to contact MZM promptly so that we can investigate the matter.
Nothing in this policy limits rights that a consumer may have under applicable payment-card, banking, or consumer-protection laws.
14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Mount Zion Ministries may update this Donation & Refund Policy periodically to reflect changes in our programs, payment systems, organizational practices, or applicable legal requirements.
The current version will be posted on www.mzmorg.com with the applicable “Last Updated” date.
